Elderly Abilene Woman Dead

Mrs. J. E. Dunn, who celebrated her 56th wedding anniversary July 17, died in her home, 782 Palm at
11:50 a. m. Tuesday. She was 74.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced
at Kiker-Warren funeral home.
Born Dec. 3, 1871, I Louisiana, she was the daughter of a Confederate Soldier who served under General Robert E. Lee.
She was married to J. E. Dunn in 1890.
Survivors are her husband, five sons, Clarence of Abilene, Harvey of Port Neches, E. A. (Jack) of the marines, stationed in San Pedro, Calif.; W. E. of Los Angeles, and four daughters, Mrs. N. C. Joyner, Mrs. Rena Hardin, Mrs. Vol Hargrove and Mrs. Claude Cowden, all of Abilene; seven brothers, Lee Ballew of Sweetwater, Lonnie Ballew of Eastland, J. S. and V. E. Ballew of Ranger, Jim of Denison, John of Millerton, Okla., and W. L. of Tampa; 33 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
