Clayton S. Boyer, fifty-three, 625 Lake St., died unexpectedly at his home at 12:30 a.m. Sunday. He had been under the care of a physician for the past six years. He was a hot press operator for Raybestos - Manhattan Inc., Manheim for 20 years. Born in Lancaster, a son of Sadie Shearer Boyer, Manheim R3, and the late Grant Boyer, he lived in Lancaster all his life. He was the husband of the late Verna E. Duncan Boyer and a member of the Elstonville Sportsmen's Association. Surviving are three sons, Ronald P., at home, F. Eugene and John C., both of Lancaster; a daughter Nancy, wife of Raymond K. Yarnell, Lancaster, and a step-daughter Betty Jane, wife of Kenneth D. Hughes, at home. Also surviving are five grandchildren, three brothers, Carl S., Lebanon; R. Paul S., Manheim R3, and Clair S. Lancaster, and sister, Dora S., wife of Walter Homes, Lebanon. Fred F. Groff Inc., funeral home handled the arrangements. Interment in Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster.
