Mabel E. DeRosier, 89, Brainerd, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.

She was born March 30, 1910, in Daggett Brook Township, to Joseph and Lily (Glass) Avery. She married Lucien DeRosier on May 11, 1926, in St. Mathias. She was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church, the St. Mathias Christian Mothers and the Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include five sons, Howard and Charles DeRosier, both of Brainerd, and Peter, Ronald and DuWayne DeRosier, all of Fort Ripley; four daughters, Charlotte Stevens, Aloha, Ore., Lois Ehmke, Brainerd, Teresa Thesing, Elk River, and Geri Villnow, Brainerd; 45 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel Satre, Gladys Gilson and Lillian Somerville, all of Brainerd; and two brothers, Levert Avery, Baxter, and Ralph Avery, Brainerd.

Her husband, a daughter, Opal Johns, two brothers, four sisters, and six grandchildren, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mathias Catholic Church with Father Paul Fruth officiating. Burial will be in St. Mathias Cemetery.

Friends may call at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and at the church an hour before services Friday.
