COTTONWOOD - Requiem mass for John Reiland, 81, who died at St. Mary's Hospital of the infirmities of age, was said Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Alois Breznick.
The pallbearers were Ted and Neil Fuchs of Tekoa, Leo Fuchs of Endicott, Larry Link of Spokane, and James and Eugene Reiland of Lewiston.
Burial was at the Uniontown Catholic Cemetery. Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home of Lewiston was in charge.

John Reiland, 81, Taken By Death
COTTONWOOD - John Reiland, 81, a retired carpenter, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital. Death was due to the infirmities of age. He had made his home at the F. M. Jenney residence here for 30 years.
Reiland was born May 6, 1883 at Holt, Neb. He moved to Uniontown, Wash., as a boy and later to Whitebird. He built the Catholic Church at Whitebird in 1920 and then moved to Cottonwood, where he was a carpenter at St. Mary's Hospital.
Reiland, who never married, was a charter member and honorary life member of the Cottonwood Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mike J. Fuchs, Tekoa, Mrs. Clarence Link, Boise, and Miss Frances Reiland, Uniontown. The body is at the Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home, Lewiston.
