Delta Mae Horste, 100, of Altamont, formerly of Grayville, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cook Funeral Chapel, Grayville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Grayville.

Mrs. Horste was born July 18, 1909, in Grayville, the daughter of Thomas and Inis (Butsch) Knight. She married Henry Ralph Horste Aug. 27, 1930, and he preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1989.

Delta was a member of United Methodist Church, Grayville, and past member of the Eastern Star. She was co-owner of Horste Market, Grayville, for many years.

Survivors include son, Barry Horste of Altamont; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons and a grandson, Aaron Horste.
