Samuel B. Knight, 82, of Grayville, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 1990 at the Wabash General Hospital, Mt. Carmel.
Knight was born May 27, 1907, in White County, Ill., the son of Thomas L. and Mary Ines Butsch Knight. He was married Jan. 16, 1926, in White County to Genevieve Garner, who preceded him in death on March 28, 1983. He was a retired farmer and meat cutter.
Surviving him is one daughter - Mrs. Bert (Marcella) Broster of Mt. Carmel; three sons - Don Knight of Belleville, Ill., Bob Knight of Mt. Erie Ill., and Sam Jr. of St. Charles, MO.; and two sisters - Mrs. Leona Millar and Mrs. Mae Horste of Grayville, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services - 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Sturm Funeral Home, Grayville, with Rev. C. Douglas Rorex officiating. Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery.
