Clyde was the son of Joseph Warren Crisler and Eliza Jane (Perkins) Crisler. He married Ellar Zona Hall on 2 Oct 1927 in Mulberry, Crawford, Arkansas. They had six children together. Their names are Sylvia Doris, Martha Helen, Margaret Sue, Mary Yvonne, Clyde Theron and Alan Jeffrey. After the death of Ellar's sister Maggie in 1935 they raised two of her three sons. Their names are Lowell Grant Harris and Fay Clifton Harris. Maggies third son Charles Floyd Harris was raised by her sister Mary and husband Toy Hyder. Note: Clyde does not have nor was he ever given a middle name. He used the letter C. when pressed for a middle name for business purposes only.
