Ellar was the daughter of Ulysses S. Grant Hall and Sylvania (Pennington) Hall. She married Clyde Crisler on 2 Oct 1927 in Mulberry, Crawford, Arkansas. Together they had six children. Their names are Sylvia Doris, Martha Helen, Margaret Sue, Mary Yvonne, Clyde Theron and Alan Jeffrey. After the death of her sister Maggie in 1935 Ellar and Clyde raised two of Maggies three sons. Their names are Lowell Grant Harris and Fay Clifton Harris. Maggies youngest son Charles Floyd Harris was raised by her sister Mary and husband Toy Hyder. Note: Ellar's headstone is missing the "r" ending in her first name. The name Ella was a nickname.
