NADINE WHITE HATFIELD
Nadine (White) Hatfield, daughter of Guy C. and Cora White, was born in Oakland, Calif., Oct. 27, 1917, and passed from this life Jan. 17, 1957, at the Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park, Ill., at the age of 39 years, two months and 21 days.
When a few months of age she came with her parents to Lucas county where she grew to young womanhood. She received her education in the rural and Chariton schools. In her girlhood days she accepted Christ as her Savior and placed her membership in the Chariton Methodist church. Thru the years of her active life she was faithful in her attendance to the place of worship.
On Dec. 21, 1935, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Hatfield at Bethany, Mo. The new home was established in Chariton where they resided until moving to Chicago in 1941. To this union two children were born, Kenneth Calvin, now in the armed services and Evelyn Maxine, at home. For the past two years a step-son, Richard Eugene Hatfield, has made his home with the family.
Besides the sorrowing husband and children, she leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Mrs. Cora White of Chariton; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Street of Humeston; a brother, Guy Junior White of Chariton; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Guy C. White on April 12, 1955.
Funeral services were held at the Beardsley Funeral Home Sunday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. A. E. Beals. Interment was in the Salem cemetery.
