Clement J. "Clem" Aikens, 64, of Mill Run, Altoona, died Friday at Bon Secours Hospital. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Clem "Gerd" and Jean N. (McGinnis) Aikens. Surviving are his wife, Patty (Porta); a daughter, Jeannie (Lee) Jones of Altoona; two sons; Christopher and Brian (Danielle), all of Altoona; and six grandchildren: Samantha, Rhiannon, Eric and Stevie Jones and Corey and Brendan Aikens, all of Altoona. Clem was a Marine Corps veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He worked at International Harvester as a mechanic and later for the City of Altoona as a mechanic for fleet maintenance. Clem enjoyed restoring automobiles and NASCAR racing at various tracks throughout Pennsylvania. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at The Good Funeral Home, Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, officiated by Pastor Jeff Jones. Interment, Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
