She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Herman H. and Rita (Wiedemer) Porta. She married Clement J. Aikens, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2009.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeannie Louise Jones of Altoona; two sons: Brian Robert (Danielle) Aikens and Christopher James (Janine) Aikens, both of Altoona; five grandchildren: Samantha (Jones) Franco, Rhiannon Jones, Stevie Jones, Corey Aikens and Brendan Aikens; a sister, Regina (Porta) Sharpe; and two brothers: John and Robert Porta.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann (Porta) Benz.
Patricia graduated from Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. She retired from Sheetz and was previously employed by Barnes and Noble, the Blair County Association for the Blind and Butterick Co. Inc.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona, and she enjoyed reading, horses and spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 3, 2018, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
