A celebration of life for Mary Eleanor Combs Morris, 81, Beavercreek, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, with burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro, at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Morris died Monday, Sept. 10, at home. She was the owner of Joette's Beauty Salon in Miamisburg and was a superb cook, a wicked card player, and a strong advocate for education, loved to knit and quilt. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years and held membership in Beaver Valley Chapter No. 570.

She is survived by a daughter, Joette M. Gates, Beavercreek; a sister, Barbara Ann Gibson, Fitzgerald, GA.; sister-in-law, Joyce Louise Rice, Beattyville, Ky.; brother-in-law, Denzie Lee Wright, Sr., Ft. Meyers, Fla.; more than 55 nieces and nephews and their families, and special friends, Linda and Gregg Cross, Xenia.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
