Arnold W. Bur man, 25, was killed instantly 5 a. m. Saturday in a two-car collision one mile west of Dyer, just across the Illinois state line.

Born at Kentland, he was married at Wolcott to Mary Jane Schuman. He was a 1949 graduate of Goodland high school and lived most of his life in this community.

Four months ago he moved to Dyer and was employed as drill press operator for Ford Motor company, Chicago Heights.

He was a Korean veteran.

Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Scherry Lvnn, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie, Burman of Goodland; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Hageman of Goodland, Mrs. Marjorie Pratt of Boswell, and Mrs. Jean Hartman of Lowell ; and one brother, Robert of Rensselaer.
