Leslie W. Burman, 72, died at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday at his residence in Goodland after a two-year illness. A native of Benton County, he formerly farmed in the Goodland and Kentland areas and moved here in 1957.

He was married in 1929 at Kentland to May Garriott, who survives.

He was a member of the Raub United Methodist Church.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Pratt of Otterbein, Mrs. Jean Hartman of Lowell and Mrs. Nancy Hageman of Remington; a son, Robert, Rensselaer; two brothers, Frank of Kentland and Walter of Raub; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Arnold, preceded him in death.
