BILLY WOMMACK DIES OF HURTS
Internal injuries suffered when his car ran off a gravel road northeast of Springfield late Wednesday night were fatal for Billy Everett Wommack, 19, of Pleasant Hope, at 2:50 o'clock this morning.
The youth was admitted to Burge hospital early yesterday, after his car had apparently missed a sharp curve and rolled over two or three times, coming to rest in a pasture 150 feet from the road.
His sister, Lillian Lee, 17, was riding with him in the car, but she escaped serious injury.
The accident occurred on a road between highway 66 and Division street road, about six miles east of Springfield, as the young man was returning home from a job-hunting trip.
Wommack is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis N. Wommack; two brothers, Raymond, of the home, and Thomas of Springfield; two other sisters, Mrs. Gladys Conley and Mrs. Martha Tummons, both of Springfield; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wommack, of Fair Grove, and his grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Potter, of Springfield...
