Pauline Leiker, 76, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Hays Medical Center, St. Anthony. Born October 31, 1914 in Ellis County, she was the daughter of Anton and Rosa Maska Arnhold.

A resident of Hays, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church and worked as a volunteer in the Senior Companion Program at the Hays Good Samaritan Center. She was also a member of the Christian Mother's at Antonino and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Hays.

On Nov. 9, 1936, she married Alois S. Leiker at Munjor. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Lyle, Hays; five daughters, Annette Orth of Munjor, Judy Landauer, Ellis, Sheila Pfeier, and Lupe Brown, Hays, and Glenda Sue Hidde, Liberal; two brothers, Lawrence Arnhold, and Richard Arnhold, both of Hays; five sisters, Virginia Leiker, Catherine Schumacher, Clara Augustine, Teresa Obholz, Hays, and Ella Younker, Great Bend; 17 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at St Joseph's Church in Hays with Father Felix Petrovsky officiating. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to service time today at Brock's North Hill Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Good Samaritan Center Building Fund.
