Theresa Ann Obholz, 95, Hays, died Sunday, November 29, 2020, at her home. She was born May 31, 1925, in Hays, the daughter of Anton and Rosa (Maska) Arnhold.

On July 28, 1946, she was united in marriage to Hilary “Larry” Obholz in Hays. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1993.

Theresa was a homemaker, she enjoyed being with her family, babysitting her grandchildren, sewing, embroidery, latch hook, quilting, reading, and walking. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Lenny Borgmann and husband Lonnie of Green Valley, AZ, and Kristy Hinzman and husband David of Hays, a son, John Obholz of Hays, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Obholz of Hays, 15 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Joe Obholz, a daughter-in-law, Jody Obholz, a grandson-in-law, Mike Garrison, five brothers: Rich, Edgar, Wendelin, Lawrence, and Richard, and five sisters: Virginia, Eleanor, Pauline, Clara, and Catherine.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at St. Joseph Cemetery, with Fr. Brian Lager officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm on Wednesday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of HaysMed, in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
