Morris' Regiment embarked on the expedition to Western Brach Church Oct 3-4th 1862; Expedition to Blackwater Oct 24-26th and Nov 17-19th; Skirmish at Lawrence's Plantation Nov 17th; Expedition to Beaver Dam church Dec 1-3rd; Action on the Blackwater near Franklin Dec 2nd; Expedition to Zuni Dec 11-13th; Action at Zuni Dec 11th; Action at Deserted House 30 Jan 1863; Siege of Suffolk Apr 12-May 4; Siege of Suffolk raised May 4th; Operations on Seaboard & Roanoke Railroad May 12-26th; Holland House May 15-16th; Moved to Boston May 26-29th.

History: Company H, Massachusetts 6th Infantry Regiment: Organized at Camp Wilson, Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Moved to Washington, District of Columbia, Sep 9-12th; thence moved to Suffolk, Suffolk, Virginia, Sep 14-15th. Attached to Foster's Provisional Brigade, Division at Suffolk, Suffolk, Virginia 7th Army Corps, Dept of Virginia, until Apr 1863. Attached 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 7th Army Corps, Dept of Virginia, until Jun 1863. 2 Officers and 11 Enlisted men were killed and mortally wounded, and 18 Enlisted men died of disease within Company H, Massachusetts 6th Infantry Regiment.
