MRS. S. C. (BESSIE) LEE

Mrs. Bessie Lee, 84, of Pinola died Dec.8 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Simpson County and a member of Strong River Baptist Church.

Services were held Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. from the Upton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Stovall officiating. Burial was in the Strong River Cemetery and Upton Funeral Home of Mendenhall was in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were Johnny Scoggins, Hamilton Bishop, Wiley Palmer, Shea Daughdrill, Billy Worley and Mike Benton.

She is survived by a son, Carl Travis Lee of New Waverly, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Jeff McAlpin of Magee, Mrs. Connie Atwood of Pearl and Mrs. Bill Palmer of Pinola; two brothers, Troy Little of New Hebron and Willie Little of Pinola; nine granddaughters, two grandsons and five great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
