Mrs. William Bohanan died at her home, Monday, May 19, 1919, at 5 o’clock. She had been ill for several weeks, gradually sinking into the sleep that knows no waking. Emma Jane Reynolds was born December 3, 1959 in Jennings County, Indiana. When about 12 years of age she moved with her parents to Jasper County, Iowa and five years later to Adams County, where she married William Bohanan December 25, 1883. One year after their marriage they builded their home five and a half miles northwest of Prescott and lived there 32 years, having moved to Prescott four years ago. Four children were born into this home, Roy, who died July 11, 1917; and Mrs. Guy Goodwill and Glenwood, who resided in Prescott. At the age of 18 years, Mrs. Bohanan united with the Evangelical Church and later with the M. E. Church of which she was a faithful member to the time of her death, May 19, 1919. Her age was 59 years, 5 months, and 16 days. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two children, two grandchildren, Wanneta and Pauline; her aged father, Brad Reynolds, of Roxbury, Nebraska; Mrs. Earl Bauld, of Roxbury, Nebraska; Maud Eblen, of Cumberland, Iowa, and a host of friends. Her jovial, happy disposition won for her a large circle of friends She was a true, devoted wife, and mother, a loyal friend and neighbor. Through all her sickness, she was most patient and resigned. She was willing and ready to meet the call of the great beyond. The funeral servcies were held Tuesday afternoon at the M. E. Church, conducted by Rev. Mr. Penn and interment was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
