E. B. Johnson Dies
" Long time resident of this city succumbs
to illness Ernest B Johnson 82, Retired Cement Worker died last Thursday night Apr 26, 1941, at 7:30 o'clock at the home of his son Z.M. Johnson, 207 West Elm street. The residence of the deceased was at 910 Elm Street. Mr. Johnson had been a resident of Ar-kansas City 53 years. His wife died several years ago. He was a native of Ohio. Surviving him are two sons, Z.M Johnson, and Arno Johnson of this city, and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the OldRoyd chapel Saturday, 2:00 o'clock, by Rev. Tillman Prince. A male quartet comprised of James D Armand, Cecil Hawkins, Roy Woodard, and Harry McCullough sang during the rites. Pallbearers, Roy Herbert, A.C. Jordan, A. Goff, W.A. Coats, Frank Hadley and C. M. Metcalf. Beryl was in the Riverview Cemetery. The OldRoyd Funeral Directors were in charge of the arrangements.
