Mr. Elisha Johnson who was for many years Ferryman at the Old Ferry Below The Northern Electric Company's Bridge, died Yesterday Morning ( 11 Feb 1907) from Heart Failure. Mr. Johnson leaves a wife and 3 children. The remains are at the undertaking parlor of
Mr. A. A. Ward.

Services conducted by members of GAR and The ladies of Relief Corps.
' The Funeral of the late Elisha Johnson was held yesterday afternoon ( 13 Feb 1907) From the Odd fellow's hall. The services were held under the auspicious of G.A. R And the ladies Relief Corp. Mr. Johnson being a veteran of the Civil War. Reverend Mr. Phillips of the Methodist Church Conducted the service, and some of the ladies of the relief Corps Sang. The interment was in the Oroville Cemetery.

Married Margaret ' Maddy' Lydia Murray in 1874, Kansas. They had one son, Edwin Charles Johnson ( they later Divorced)
Margaret's sister was Mary Adaline Murray who married Elisha's brother, Orin Johnson)
Elisha Married a second time 1893 to Minnie 'Mini' Lawton and from this union 3 Children: George, Maude & Ellen.
Elisha passed away 11 Feb. , 1907, Thermalito, Calif., from heart failure. He was buried in, the Veterans Memorial area next to the Memorial itself, Old Oroville Cemetery. The G.A.R, Ladies Relief Corps., handled his Veteran buriel.
