George Joseph McHugh, on Tuesday, November 10, 1981 at 3:15 o'clock a.m. Beloved husband of Aileen Kersting McHugh, father of Aileen Barnes of Washington, Va., Michael McHugh of San Francisco, Ca., Kelly John McHugh of Mandeville, La. and Molly Schroeder of Mandeville, La. brother of Robert McHugh of Springfield, Il., also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of TACA Airlines, are invited to attend the funeral from the Metairie Chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. G.J. McHugh funeral rites set for today
A Mass of Christian burial for George Joseph McHugh, vice president of TACA International Airlines, will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. in Metairie. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories.
Mr. McHugh died Tuesday at East Jefferson Hospital after a brief illness. He was 68.
A native of St. Louis, Mr. McHugh moved to New Orleans in 1947. He was a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., and he received an M.A. in history from St. Louis University in St. Louis.
He was a member of the American Society of San Salvador, American Chamber of Commerce in El Salvador and St. Christopher Catholic Church in Metairie. Mr. McHugh was past president of the SKOL Club of New Orleans.
He is survived by his wife, Aileen K. McHugh; two daughters, Aileen Barnes of Washington, Va., and Molly Schroeder of Mandeville, La.; two sons, Michael McHugh of San Francisco, and Kelly McHugh of Mandeville; a brother, Robert McHugh of Springfield, Ill, and six grandchildren.

Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie Louisiana interment records indicate that George McHugh's remains were moved to Mobile Alabama on December 22nd, 1990.
