THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, April 3, 2007..

CLARKSVILLE--Charlene Ham Barnwell Davison, 89, of Detroit, died Sunday, April
1, 2007, in East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville.

Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, in Lindeman Chapel
of Clarksville Funeral Home with Father Manuel Rivas and Dale Miller
officiating. Burial follows in Detroit Cemetery under direction of Clarksville
Funeral Home.

The family receives friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the
funeral home.

She was born August 10, 1917, in Fayette, AL, to Bailey Andrew Ham and Annie
Elizabeth Ham. She married Samual Moran Barnwell on January 25, 1933, and he
died in December of 1944. She married Milton Patrick Barnwell in 1945. They
divorced and she married Joe T. Davison Jr. on 5 Aug 1971 in Bowie County. She
was a nurse who truly enjoyed working with the sick and infirm. She also loved
gardening and quilting.

She was also preceded in death by husband, Joe Davison in 1976; ex-husband,
Milton Patrick Barnwell in 1982; a daughter, Mary Drew Barnwell Gibson in 2003
and a granddaughter, Emily Dianne Gibson; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include four sons, David Monroe (Barbara) Barnwell of Montgomery, AL,
Frank (Billie) Barnwell of Cabot, ARK, Neil Victor (Gail) Barnwell of Bogalusa,
LA, and Michael Patrick Barnwell of Lake Creek; two daughters, Ruth Moran
Barnwell (David 'Red') Garrison of Detroit and Mona Ann Barnwell of Denver, CO;
12 grandchildren, Mark Garrison of Powderly, Liz Ann Burkart of Cypress, Jason
Garrison of Detroit, Mary Elizabeth Barnwell, Nathan Barnwell and Paul Barnwell,
all of Tampa, FL, Sam Barnwell and Frank Paxton Barnwell of Cabot, ARK, Mark
Christian Barnwell of Bogalusa, LA, Rachel Gibson of Paris, April Barnwell and
Amy Barnwell of Dallas; seven great-grandchildren; six
great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; one sister, Belle
Howland of Bryan and a very special friend, Grace Stacks of Regency Nursing
Center.
