William Alexander Gillooly, 61 of 802 Hickory St., Murphusboro, died today in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Murphysboro, the son of James and Katherine Puttmann Gillooly.

On July 5, 1936 in Murphysboro, he was married to Elizabeth McGuire.

He was a member of the St. Andres Catholic Church, Murphysboro.

Mr. Gillooly was a farmer and a coal miner.

Survivors include his wife; sister, Katherine Koenig of Murphysboro, Thelma Huppert and Mary King, both of Carbondale; and brothers, Gene, Robert, and Jim, all of Murphysboro.

Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday in St. Andrews Catholic Church, with the Father Fred Renschen officiating.

Friends may call after 4 pm Friday at the Denny & Pettett Funeral Home, Murphysboro,

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
