Robert E. Gillooly St. 68, died at 12:20 am Saturday, Jan 28, of Murphysboro and two sisters, Thelma1995, in St. Joseph memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 10 am Monday at Pettett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Doughtery officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm today and until services Monday at the funeral home. A Prayer service will be held at 8 pm today at the funeral home.

Mr. Gillooly was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked many years as a firefighter at the Murphysboro Fire Department.

He was born De. 8, 1926, in Murphysboro, to James and Katherine Puttmann Gillooly.

He married Loretta Maynor on Sept 11, 1948, in Clay County, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert E. Gillooly Jr. and James A. Gillooly, both of Murphysboro; one daughter DaDonna Wallace of Cambria; one brother, Gene Gillooly, two sisters, Thelma Huppert and Mary King all of Murphysboro.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, five brothers and his parents.
