Pauline Hershberger Jones, 92, of Hampstead, Md., died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009 at home after an extended illness.

Born Sept. 7, 1916, in Roane County, she was the daughter of the late Kester and Edna Miller Hershberger. She was the wife of the late Dana M. Jones.

Surviving are her children, Patricia Rodgers of Massillon, Ohio, and John Jones and Paulette Manion, both of Hampstead, Md.; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way. Pauline is also survived by her beloved brothers, Frank and Harley Hershberger of Clendenin.

Graveside service and interment will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 in Ferrell Cemetery, also known as Clarkson Cemetery, 5502 Clay Road, Looneyville, Roane County, with the Rev. Allen Jones officiating. The funeral procession will leave Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin, at approximately 1 p.m. to travel to the cemetery. Our mother's final resting place will be beside her beloved parents.

Friends and relatives are welcome to come for fellowship and to celebrate Pauline's life at Buckford-Wellford Methodist Church, Clendenin, after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
