Paul R. "Pude" Hershberger, 89, of Clendenin died June 9, 2000 at home.
He was the owner and operator of Hershberger Saw Mill, Clendenin. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 3466, Charleston.
Surviving: sons, Norman Paul of Maxon, N.C., Erich Eugene of Clendenin; daughters, Sandra L. Hershberger of Charleston, Sharon L. Hershberger of Clendenin; brothers, Frank L. and Harley E., both of Clendenin; sister, Pauline Jones of Hampstead, Md.; four grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin, with the Rev. Ronald Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Payne Cemetery, Clio, with military rites by VFW Post 8516, Elkview. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where there will be a VFW service at 6 p.m.
