Sally Lelon (Allred) Brown was born on January 8, 1909 in Overton County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of Baley Frederick Allred (1867–1936) and Arminda Louvina "Mindy" (Smith) Allred (1885–1968).
She was married sometime after the 1930 census as the 1st wife of Carley Franklin Brown (1910-1967).
Living in Allred, Tennessee, she was 27 years old and married when her house caught on fire in January 1936, and she received 2nd and 3rd degree burns on her legs and back when she went into the house to save children. She died of her injuries on May 18, 1936 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, and burial was two days later in Allred Cemetery.
