LILLY, REV. GARVUS O. SR. SERVICE WILL BE 2 P.M. SATURDAY AT Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia, with the Rev. Okey Cox officiating. Entombment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens,Prosperity. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Lilly, 68, of Sophia, Raleigh County, died May 24, 1989, in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. He was a disabled miner from Slab Fork Coal Co., a retired minister from Ury Freewill Baptist Church, a member of the UMW and the VFW. He was a graduate of Appalachian Bible College and an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving: wife, Remona McQuire Lilly; sons, Charles of
Covington, Va., Roger E. and Garvus Jr., both of Sophia; daughters, Drema Acord of Pinnacle, N.C., Yvonne Cadle of Sophia, Darlene Blanchard of Rhodell; brother, Trelee of Hinton; sisters, Gladys Lilly of Rhodell, Lena Wills of Jumping Branch, Shirley McClure of Blue Ridge, Va.; 14 grandchildren.
