Herman "Bud" Hendricks was born on November 6, 1942 in Pierre, SD to Herman A. and Alice Satree Hendricks. He grew up on the Fair Valley Ranch south of Vivian, SD and attended the Jones County country school, graduated from the Vivian High School and went on to SDSU.
On October 20, 1963 bud married Dianne Oller at the Zion Lutheran Church in Presho, SD. They moved back to the family ranch south of Vivian where Bud was a farmer and rancher.
Bud was a member of the Vivian Lutheran Church, the Soil conservation board, Williams Creek Township board, the Extension Board, the Isaac Walton League and the Draper Gun Club.
Survivors include is wife Dianne, mother Alice, one son Travis, 3 daughters Katrina, Patty and Lana, three sisters Kay, Joanne and Karla and 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a granddaughter.
