Lloyd H. Klingensmith, 85, of Godfrey Road, Gilpin Township, died Monday morning at his residence. He was born Dec. 10, 1902 in Logansport, Bethel Township to Joseph and Nancy (Shearer) Klingensmith. He lived in Gilpin Township for the past 14 years, having lived previously in Bethel. He was employed as a bundler in the Hot Mill Department, West Leechburg works of Allegheny Ludlum until he retired Dec. 31, 1967 after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Forks Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gilpin Township and a member of the Retirees of the United Steel Workers of America Local 1138 of Leechburg. Survivors are one son, Eugene S. of Bethel Township; four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Nancy) Cravener and Mrs. Joseph (Monna) Ferraro, both of Kittanning, Mrs. Kenneth (Loretta) Reynolds of Parks Township and Mrs. David (Sandra) Fetterman of Gilpin Township; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Thickey of Natrona Heights; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Derotha M. (Tarr) Klingensmith, who died July 31, 1979; two sons, John, who died at infancy and Lloyd Jr., who died March 28, 1987; a daughters, Sarah K., who died at infancy; seven brothers, Vern, Archie, Oliver, Jewel, Wilbur, Murray and Otis; and three sisters, Sarah Bash and Elizabeth and Beulah Klingensmith. KLINGENSMITH - Friends of Lloyd H. Klingensmith, 85, of Godfrey Road, Gilpin Township, who died Monday, Dec. 14, 1987, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Clawson's, Second and Main, Leechburg. Funeral services will be at the funeral home 11 a.m. Thursday, with his pastor, the Rev. James M. McCormick, officiating. Burial will follow in Gilpin Township. (Paid notice.)
