Jack Lee CLARK, 34, died unexpectedly this morning at 4:30 o'clock of a heart attack at his home, 1130 Madison street. He had no previous heart illness. A lifetime resident of this community, Mr. Clark formerly worked for the city water department and Indiana Metal Products. Since August he had been employed at Hale & Hunter elevator in Mentone. Born May 13, 1932, near Athens, he was the son of Rule and Bertha McGEE CLARK. His marriage was Sept. 29, 1951, in Rochester to Barbara McCALLA, who survives. He was a member of the Logansport Eagles lodge, American Legion post of Rochester and served with the Air Force in Korea. Also surviving are one daughter, Janet [CLARK], at home; five sons, Jackie, Michael, Steven, Mark and Brian [CLARK], all at home; his mother, Mrs. Edward PFLEDDERER; a half-sister, Mrs. Robert "Pat" THOMAS, and four half-brothers, Cyrus and Jerry BAIRD, and John SWEET, all of Rochester, and John O'CONNOR, Claypool. Last rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. C. J. MOWRER officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
