Richard Collins, 39, of Atlanta, died Wednesday, December 31, 1975, in Winnfield General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member and deacon of Atlanta Baptist Church, a member of the Winn Parish School Board for 10 years, and a native of Atlanta.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Atlanta Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Teal officiating.

Burial under direction of Southern Funeral Home, will be in Sardis Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Collins of Atlanta, two sons, Steve Collins and Mark Collins, both of Atlanta, one daughter, Calley [sic Kelly] Collins of Atlanta; his mother, Mrs. E. L. Collins, Sr., of Atlanta, three brothers, E. L. Collins, Jr. Of Winnfield, Billy Collins of Alexandria, and Cecil Collins of Stonewall, La.; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Dalton of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Dorothy Attaway of Atlanta, Mrs. Rebecca Sharp of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Jennifer Edwards of Hobbs, New Mexico.
