Hattie L. Billings, 91, of Trout, died at 4:08 a.m, Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena.

A homemaker, she was born July 16, 1910, in Winn Parish to the union of Ira and Pauline Coleman Barton.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 5, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Benny Billings and Billy Smithart officiating.

Interment followed at the Atlanta Methodist Center [sic Cemetery] in Atlanta, La., under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc., of Jena.

Survivors include three daughters, Genelle Russell of Trout, Brenda Ford of Selma, and Donna Sue McKinzey of Nederland, Texas; four sons, Rev. Benny Billings of Lake Charles, Max Billings of Searcy, Jimmy Billings of Good Pine, and Bruce Billings of Colfax; one sister, Lou Ellen Berry of Bossier City; 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ben Billings, Tony Russell, David (Bullet) Billings, Todd Ford, Dennis Dean, Mickey Billings, and James Walter.
