Neils Wilhelm (William) Anderson was born in Millville, the son of Niels and Mary Nielson Anderson. His early years were spent at school and at herding cattle in the canyon with his father. Having a love for music, he became an accomplished violinist; and he played in an orchestra with Isreal Yeates, Alma Yeates and Relda Jessop.
On September 10, 1913, he married Sarah Genevieve Jessop, the daughter of Joseph S. and Martha Moore Yeates Jessop.
Genevieve died September 19, 1923, after a long illness, leaving Bill with four small sons.
Niels and Malinda Junith Olson were married on June 28, 1925. Malinda was born June 1, 1904 in Millville, the daughter of Hulda Amelia Nielson and Olof Olson.
He was a good farmer, and he taught his children to be industrious. He owned and operated a threshing machine for many years. He served on the Nibley Town Board and was a member of the first Millville-Nibley Cemetery Committee, into which he put his whole heart and soul.
After Bill's death, Malinda moved to Logan where she kept busy with her family.
