Charles McKinley Foster, Sr., 88, of Lynnville, died Monday, July 1, 1985, at Hillside Hospital. A native of Giles County, he was the son of the late Z. D. and Margaret Jane Thomason Foster. He was a retired mail carrier and farmer and was a member of the Lynnville Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Bennett May Chapel with burial in Lynnwood Cemetery, Bro. Charles Williamson and Bro. Al May officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lorene Hickman Foster of Lynnville; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Brown of Hendersonville; one son, Charles McKinley Foster, Jr. of Lewisburg; one step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Boatright of Lynnville; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Rosie Gibson, Mrs. Annie Mae Thurman, Mrs. Roscoe Felker, Mrs. Mary Gilliam, all of Columbia, Mrs. Cornelia Johnson of Birmingham, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
