Willie "Will" Bohannon was born in December 1918 to John Bohannon and Mary Little Bohannon in Kemper County, MS.

First, he married Adeline Scott and they had no children. Secondly, he married Lula Clemons, the daughter of Shep Clemons and Caroline Stennis Clemon, and they had ten children.

He joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in DeKalb, MS, early in life.

He died in 1966 at the age of 48.
