A DEVOTED MOTHER ENTERS INTO REST; MRS. J.T.B. AWBREY PASSED AWAY YETERDAY MORNING IN ROANOKE

Death has again visited our community and this time bereft a home of wife and mother. At 5 o'clock yesterday morning, Mrs. J.T.B. Awbrey passed from the scenes of time. She had been ill for some ten days previous.

Mrs. Awbrey was a faithful wife and a most devoted mother. She did a noble part by her family and now that she has gone from the cares of life to peaceful rest, these sorrowing ones will realize that they have lost a friend whose place cannot be filled. A husband and seven children survive her. An old neighbor said of her, "she did not make much fuss in the world, but she was a mighty good woman." She joined the Baptist church when sixteen years of age. Her membership was at her old home church in Western, Georgia. The funeral services will be conducted from the home at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The interment will be in the city cemetery.
