Services for Mrs. Nellie Lillian Beck, 86, who died Feb. 10th in the Dunklin County Memorial Hospital in Kennett, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Williams officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 22nd, 1890 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of the late Thomas and Cora Link. On Aug. 5th, 1914 in Shenandoah, Iowa, she married Michael Beck. He preceded her in death Sept. 12th, 1959.
The family moved from Piedmont to Hayti in 1941.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence L. Beck of Brookland, Ark., and Walter Beck of Armington, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Aileen Godsey of Kennett and Mrs. Laura Mae Dorfmeyer of West Terre Haute, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Bloodhart of Wamego, Kan., Mrs. Alberta Massa of Carlinsville, Ill., and Mrs. Blanch Pierce of Clinton, Iowa; and three brothers, Clement, Richard, and John Link.
Pallbearers were Donald Godsey, Walter Travis Beck, Jerry Godsey, Daniel Godsey, Larry Jones, and Derek Purser.
