Mrs. Grimes was born in De Soto May 22,1882 to Tom and Tex Parks. Uncle Tom and Aunt Tex as they were known to everyone in the DeSoto area, moved her in 1847. Prarl Parks married John Frank Grimes Sr. of Hickson County Tenn. June 26,1898 and they moved to their home on South Uhl rd. There J.F. Grimes Sr. farmed until his death in 1922. Pearl lived in the same house until her death.
She was an active member of the De Soto Church of Christ and her husband was known ar one of the early advocates of the Christian School.
