She was a native of Ware County and lived most of her life in Ware County. She was daughter of the late Allen E. Smith and Susie Spivey Smith. She was a landlord for 25 years and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Horace Barber of Waycross; two daughters, Robbie Fleming of Waycross, Rhonda Wilson (husband Dickie) of Millwood; a son, Joe Fleming (wife Toni) of Waycross; a brother, Fred Smith of Waycross; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (June 10, 2009) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Tuesday night from 6 until 8.
