She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. She was married to the late Allen Ernest Smith and was the daughter of the late David Spivey and Carrie Collier Spivey. She was a giving, loving, and caring person for others.
She was a charter member of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church and was the former owner of Smith's Grocery on Albany Avenue.
The survivors include two daughters, Catherine Barber (husband Horace), Margurette Sullivan (husband R.G.) both of Waycross; a son, Fred E. Smith (wife Jeanette) of Waycross; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6 until 8 o'clock.
