Mrs. Nell B. Osborne, 89, passed away Tuesday morning (May 10, 2022) at Satilla Bluffs Senior Care in Blackshear following an extended illness.
She was born in Clinch County to the late Benjamin Styles Booth and Bessie Highsmith Booth. She retired from Fesperman Insurance Company as a secretary. On April 30, 1950, at the age of 17, she was baptized at Central Baptist Church in Waycross where she remained a member the rest of her life. She was also a member of the Grace Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold Frank Osborne; a great granddaughter, Kirsten Raulerson; and a sister, Hilda Hall.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Raulerson (Jimmy) of Waycross and Cathy Strickland (Joey) of Tifton; six grandchildren, Brian Raulerson (Shanna), Carola Raulerson Jones (Richard), Renee Raulerson Randall (Alan), Tara Raulerson Strickland (Matt), Ross Strickland (Caroline), Ashley Phillips (Todd); twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Alice Douglas (O'Neal) of Jacksonville, FL.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (May 14, 2022) at Oakland Cemetery with her grandson, Rev. Ross Strickland, officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made in her honor to GHC Hospice, 1908 Tebeau Street, Waycross, GA 31503 or Satilla Bluffs Memory Care Center, 101 Satilla Bluffs Drive, Blackshear, GA 31516. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Satilla Bluffs and hospice nurses of GHC Hospice for the care they have provided to Mrs. Osborne. They have made friends they'll never forget.
