Minnie Ashford Littleton, age 86, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Baptist Desoto Medical Center in Southaven, MS. Born September 10, 1922 in Water Valley, MS, she was a daughter of Charles Young and Minnie Mae Barber Ashford. Mrs. Littleton was a Licensed Practical Nurse and was passionate about her nursing career. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Collierville, TN and was a member of the Tennessee LPN Association.
The service will take place Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Collierville, TN with Rev. Chuck Herring officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Burial will follow at 3:30 pm in Water Valley, MS in Oak Hill Cemetery with Steve Littleton, Paul Littleton, Clay Ashford, Mark Grice, Landon Johnson, and Tommy Littleton serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Littleton is survived by a daughter, Gwen Mainor of Collierville, TN; two sons, Charles Thomas Littleton, Jr. of Oakland, TN and Kenneth Ashford Littleton of Guntersville, AL; one brother, John Ashford of Water Valley, MS; 7 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Littleton, Sr., three sisters, Helen Gean, Nell Sallis, and Katie Mae Ashford; and three brothers, Paul Ashford, Tom Ashford, and Charles Ashford.
Friends who choose to make memorial contributions can make them to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Collierville or to a favorite charity of the donor.
