Funeral services for Charles Thomas Littleton, 71, of Memphis were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 1990 at Kensington Baptist Church in Memphis, with Rev. Jerry Massey, Rev. Don Wilson and Rev. Everett Childress officiating. Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley with Browning Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Littleton died at approximately 8:15 a.m. Monday, December 17, 1990, in Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.

Born January 10, 1919, in Lafayette County, Mr. Littleton was a son of the late James Alexander and Virginia Tray-wick Littleton. He had lived in Memphis for the past 45 years and was retired from Sam Shainberg Company, a wholesale dry goods firm. He was a veteran of the European Theatre of World War II. Mr. Littleton was a member of Kensington Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon. He was a Mason in The Bethel Grove Masonic Lodge in Memphis; and a Neighborhood Commissioner of Boy Scouts, Chicksaw Council.

Survivors include: his wife, Minnie Lou Ashford Littleton of Memphis; a daughter, Gwen Mainor of Memphis; two sons, Charles Thomas Littleton, Jr. of Memphis and Kenneth Ashford Littleton of Guntersville, Ala.; six sisters, Mrs. Mary L. Britt, Mrs. Dolly Neal, Mrs. Dorothy True and Mrs. Ardelle Stone, all of Water Valley, Mrs. Margaret McCain of Batesville and Mrs. Ruth Pierce of Southaven; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
