Final Rites For Hattie Pedigo
Hattie Pedigo, daughter of William F. and Rhoda (Cox) Sutton was born in Scotland County, MO., June 6, 1882, and passed away at the Grim Smith Hospital in Kirksville, MO., on May 27, 1962 at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 21 days.
Mrs. Pedigo joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of McGrady when a young woman.
Mrs. Pedigo was united in marriage to E. W. Pedigo on October 5, 1905, and to this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters; Mrs L. W. (Cleo) Thrasher, Everett E. Pedigo, Mrs. John (Ruth) Fogle and Johnnie Lee Pedigo. She was preceded in death by her husband E.W. Pedigo, March 15, 1940, and both sons, Johnnie Lee during World War II and Everett in 1960. Both parents and all her brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her two daughters, Cleo and Ruth, two sons-in-law, Lester Thrasher and John Fogle and one daughter-in-law, Emma Pedigo, six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Two nieces, Mrs. Dollie Tippett of Kerksville, and Mrs. Low Davis of Indianapolis, Ind.
Mrs. Pedigo enjoyed her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating.
Music was furnished by Bessie Gerwig and Neva Lewis, accompanied by Betty Drummond.
Bodybearers were Forest Jackson, Charles Fogle, Jack Ross, Eddie Pedigo, Kenneth Thrasher and Wallace Cook.
Burial was in the Downing Cemetery.
