E.W. Pedigo 1865-1940
Edwin Pedigo, youngest son of John and Martha Pedigo, was born in Scotland County, Missouri, Sept. 8, 1865, and departed this life at his home in Downing, at the age of 74 years, 6 months, and 7 days (15 March 1940).
He was united in marriage, October 25, 1905, to Hattie Sutton. To this union four children were born; Mrs. L.E. Thrasher of Bible Grove, Everett Pedigo of Downing, Mrs. John Fogle of Chicago, Ill., and Johnnie Lee Pedigo at home.
Mr. Pedigo was a member of the Bible Grove Christian Church, joining when a young man. He had lived in Downing for a number of years, serving his community as constable and justice ofthe peace for several years.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and four children, five grandchildren and a number of other relarives and a host of friends.
He was a good husband and a kind and loving father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services, in charge of Loyd Moore, were conducted from the Moore chapel at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Interment was in the Downing cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Bob Barker, Charlie Fogle, Will Fogle, Wm Pearce, Charley Griggs, Bud Wineinger.
