Florence Ann Crist
Florence Ann Crist, 87, of Little River, died June 12, 2005, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in Little River. She was born Dec. 17, 1917, at Tyrone, Okla., the daughter of Charles Fredrick and Katherine Helen Storms Stevens.
A Little River resident since 1942, formerly of Kenosha, Wis., she was a farm homemaker.
She was a graduate of Tyrone High School in Tyrone, Okla. and Sid's Beauty School in Hutchinson.
She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Women's Fellowship, Friendly Neighbors, Sew and Sew Club, and a Pleasant View 4-H club leader, all of Little River.
On June 15, 1940, she married Benjamin Nathan Crist at Highland Park, Ill. He died Jan. 26, 1990.
Survivors include three daughters, Carole A. Bailey and husband Albert of Inman, [living], and Sara J. Schober and husband Steve of Newton, Iowa; two brothers, Dale Stevens of Tyrone, Okla., Jim Stevens of Hutchinson; a sister, Doris Mann of Tyrone, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Grigsby; two brothers, Charles Curtis Stevens and Robert Bruce Stevens; four sisters, Gladys Rist, Elmo Compton, Mildred Woodward and Maxine Cain.
Funeral services was Tuesday, June 14, at Congregational United Church of Christ in Little River with the Rev. Ted Weis officiating. Burial was at Bean Memorial Cemetery in Little River.
Memorials may be made to Congregational United Church of Christ or Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, both in care of Sillin Funeral Home in Lyons.
