Jack Bartley, 92, Rt.2, Tompkinsville, died at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, after an extended illness. He was a retired farmer.
Born in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Elmore and Cordelia Spears Bartley, and the husband of the late Dibbie Strode Bartley.
Surviving are two sons, Billy and Ben Bartley, both of Tompkinsville; three daughters, Ida Thompson and Edith Cleary, both of Tompkinsville and Nell Hammer, Summer Shade; two sisters, Bina Chapman Tompkinsville, and Beatrice Lyons of Bluff City, Tenn. There are 27 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and one g-g-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of Strode Funeral Home with Bro. Randall McPherson officiating. Grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers, Danny Hammer, Jim McMillan, Glen, Tony, Terry, and Jackie Bartley, Ricky Cleary, and Mike Thompson.
